Date -- December 2009 -- Christmas Miracle

What a great time of the year for miracles! Christmas.....the birth of the Savior. It's the perfect time. Friends, in case you didn't hear, God has given us an incredible miracle. Our whole family will now be able to come to the US right after the first of the year! After I sent out my last letter, sharing about the Open Heaven, and our trip to Puyallup for the Soaring Again Conference, someone who had been a part of the Harvest family for many years, got so excited that he gave his credit card number to our secretary and said "put the tickets for the rest of the family on that!" What a miracle for us! Didn't you here us all shouting and screaming from South Africa? Can you imagine how exciting it will be for Libs, Justice, and Joe to see their brothers whom they haven't seen for four years? How about getting to see Myah, Olivia, and Jordyn, their neices, whom they have never even seen yet? Oh man, I can't wait to watch it all happen....it's going to be FUN!

Date -- December 2009 - Soaring Again Conference, Celebrating Under An Open Heaven, Puyallup, WA Jan. 22nd-24th!

I have some exciting news to share with you. So what's my exciting news? Well, our good friend, Ps. Dave Robbs, has come to South Africa 7 times over these past few years to help start some Kingdom businesses here. After his last trip with Dr. Ron Wohrle, they both felt that it was critical that we bring what God has freely given us back to the U.S.. After consulting with their pastor, Ps. Tim Robinson, Ps. Tim has graciously invited myself and Ps. Dallas along with a couple of our young people to come to Puyallup in January of 2010! We have a great excitement in our spirit about what God wants to do. Ps. Tim Robinson and CityGate Church will host the Soaring Again Conference on Jan. 22nd-24th in Puyallup. I know this is an unusual time of year to host a conference, but we would love to invite those of you who are interested to join us for a time of spiritual refreshing in Puyallup, WA! ...

Gert SmitDate -- November 2009 - Blessing for Gert Smit - Generational Ministries South Africa is known to be one of the most beautiful small farms in the area. God has blessed us with many natural assets that add to the beauty of our property. Any one of you that has had the opportunity to actually see the farm can attest to the fact that it is even more beautiful in person than in photos. The assortment of bushes, trees and plants always assures that something is in blossom at every season of the year. We are constantly amazed that God would send us to such a beautiful place. All this beauty doesn’t just magically happen in the clear African air. We have also been blessed with an amazing gardener in the person of Gert Smit.

The financial crisis has had its effects here in SA as well as where you live. Decreasing funds and increasing prices have us all tightening our belt. Sadly we have come to the heart breaking conclusion that we must let Gert go. It will put a big strain on all of us as he is such a big part of our lives...

<Click> to read NewsletterDate -- August 2009 -Today I turn 60!  I've always said that birthdays are good for you, the more you have, the longer you live!  At 60 however, life begins to resemble a roll of toilet paper...the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes!  it seems that at moments times like this, people like to look back and share some of the things they've learned through the years.  I've heard some pretty funny ones, like:...

Date -- July 2009 - The Bad News about the Good News -- I remember the story about the pastor who stood at the pulpit one Sunday and announced to the people: "Folks, I have some bad news, some good news, and some more bad news." Quickly he had everyone's attention. "The bad news is that the roof on this church is shot and we have to replace it. But the good news is, we have the money! But the bad news is.....it's in your wallets!"

Funny, huh? But interesting. I believe that the money is always there for the work God wants to do, it's just that it's in our wallets and bank accounts!

Nation BuildersDate -- June 2009 - Need a Little Encouragement? / South Africa Update --  I remember someone asking me once, "How do you know when someone needs encouragement?"   My answer, "uh, I think the tell-tell sign is if they're breathing!"  Friends, everyone needs encouragement! The question is really what's the best way to give it?  Here are a few suggestions... / Friends, it's been so long since I've given you an update, let me use this opportunity to fill you in a little...

Date -- January 2009 -- It's 2009, So What Are You Worried About? --  wanted to just share a few thoughts with all of you at this Christmas season.  Friends, I believe there is a great yearning in every person to know God.  We yearn to know that God has broken through into our world.  It is not enough to know that God is "up there" or "out there" somewhere.  We want to know that God has come to where we are, that He knows where we live, that He knows our name and that He cares about us.  We want to know that we are not alone.
