Upcoming ZIMBABWE Trip

Greetings to all our friends and family from South Africa.  I want to thank all of you who made our time home in America so special.  We loved that we were able to spend Christmas with our family and see so many of you as well.  I lost contact with everyone for awhile when my lap-top went down after my hard drive failed.  I'm still trying to collect some of the addresses that I lost and catch up with all the correspondence that I fell behind on.....please be patient with me.

We were welcomed back home to South Africa with a lot of excitement.  It seemed like everyone truly missed us and wants us to stick around for awhile now.  It is still so strange to leave the frigid Northwest and come back to beautiful 90 degree days here.  We are rested now and ready for a great year in 2006.

My purpose in writing you today is to ask you to remember Ps. Dallas and I as we get ready for what we believe will be a very significant ministry trip to Zimbabwe.  We will be leaving in less than two weeks on the 21st of March and not returning to the 3rd of April.  Our ministry schedule is intense and includes the marketplace, colleges, churches, and government leaders.

Just a few days ago, I watched a report on our news media here how city workers in Harare, the capital city, fish between 20 and 25 fetuses out of the sewer every day!!  The latest official inflation figures released have shot up from 586% in January to 639% in mid February.  The basic monthly cost of living for a family of 6 has risen to 24 million Zim dollars, yet a professional school teacher's monthly salary has just been raised to 12 million Zim dollars!  On the official exchange rate today, one US dollar is equivalent to about 99,000 Zim dollars.....99,000 to 1 !!!!!

Apostle Alexander Chisango, the man who has invited us to come, said this " I have never seen such an opportune moment for greater Kingdom harvest and impact throughout my life in Zimbabwe."  He went on to say:

"The work now before the conference is overwhelming, with almost all vulnerable groups in the whole city sending multiple delegations to our offices daily for support, especially for healing, medical treatment, food, empowerment for HIV infected, financial/business empowerment, empowerment for orphans, widows, single parents, shelter challenges, and our children dropping out of school due to high educational costs."

Friends, Ps Dallas and I believe that God is sending us right now into one the hottest ( spiritually ), most desperate, nations on the planet.  We are going at our own expense because we want to do whatever we can to sow a seed into the soil of Zimbabwe.  The other day, as I was praying, I felt the Holy Spirit impressing me to believe for a miracle for Apostle Chisango and the 37 churches in Zimbabwe that he oversees.  I want to ask you to consider this.  I would like to take with me a significant seed of American dollars.....zim dollars are worthless, but US dollars trade extremely well on the Zim market......to give to Apostle Chisango and the Church in Zimbabwe.  Would you send something today that I can take with me?  I will plant your seed in Zimbabwe!  Think of this, $10 is virtually a million dollars in Zimbabwe....$100 the equivalent of Z$10,000,000!!  If I could lay $1000, or $5,000 US dollars at the apostles feet, it would be a miracle of enormous proportions!  Would you pray and ask the Lord what you are supposed to do?  Would you send it today?  I will give 100% of whatever is sent to the work in Zimbabwe.  If you would like to join Ps.
