Thoughts and Messages from Dr. Allen

Dr. Allen would like to share with you some of the thoughts that the Lord is giving him.

  • Others - 4/1/2008
I can remember it like it was yesterday.
I was hearing, in my opinion, what was one of the worst messages ever preached in Church history! Maybe the worst!
I just couldn't believe it! This was truly bad.
Unfortunately, I was the one giving the message!
My words seemed so hollow, so empty.

"Lord, where are you, please help me....after all Lord, you called me."

  • 6 Things Every Leader Must Forget - 3/24/2007
One of my favorite Old Testament characters is Moses.  The reason I like him so much is because he was completely human, frail and fallible, yet he was used by God in a great way.  Leading God's chosen people did not come easily to him, yet by God's grace, he was able to do it...

  • Living With Criticism - 3/03/2007
I write this article, not in an effort to answer any of my critics, but only as an encouragement to our scores of friends and ministry leaders that are in the heat of the battle!

  • Self-Storage - 8/31/2006

"Patty, do you think you'll need to go up to our storage unit while you're home?"  That was just one of the hundreds of questions I asked my wife before she left for the States.... It was really just an innocent question, like I said, one of many.  So why did I just keep seeing our self-storage unit in my mind all day long?

  •  How To Kill A Lion On A Snowy Day - 06/28/2006

1 Chron. 11: 22-25 - I have to admit it, I have always loved this short passage of scripture.  I think I like it so much because it deals with a very practical problem in all our lives - one which every one of us wrestles with from time to time - the problem of how to kill a lion on a snowy day!  "What? Pastor Steve, have you lost your mind"?  Well, perhaps so, but let me explain.  I feel quite sure you've faced this problem before, perhaps this very week!  Oh, you may not have recognized it, but you have certainly had it.  Shall I go on?

  •  Seven Holy I's - 05/09/2006

" I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.   Philippians 4:13

Such a powerful verse, isn't it? Sort of rings with the flavor of the great American Dream.....you know, we can do anything!! ... Not Really.

  •  Out of Order - 08/12/2005  Have you ever approached a pop machine in hopes of quenching your thirst only to find a sign saying "out of order"? Maddening isn't it? It's almost funny watching people bang on the thing trying to get something out of it, all the while completely ignoring what is written and plainly posted - OUT OF ORDER ! It's a lot like Christianity sometimes....

  •  Sons of Zebedee - 06/19/2005 Today is Father's Day!  Pastor Dallas gave me the honor of preaching this morning at The Storehouse. I ministered on "The Incredible Power of Fathering". It was such a blessing to be able to encourage our fathers, both young and old, then pray for those that sought healing from the hurts and disappointments of the past. After church, my beautiful family showered me with loads of love and made sure I was spoiled for the rest of the day! Now it's Sunday night and I am thinking about my family in Spokane and all the folks that we love who are thousands of miles away. Please allow me to share a few thoughts with you on this important day.

  •  Shift Happens - 02/16/2005 Can you believe it, after all these years, I'm finally driving a stick! Not only that, but I'm driving on the wrong side of the road, the wrong side of the car, and the wrong side of the world! Who would have thought it?

  •  Prophetic Destiny So what is prophetic destiny or redemptive purpose?  Although these terms do not appear in the scriptures, themes of prophetic destiny are numerous.  Prophetic destiny is the divine purpose of individuals, nations and continents as revealed through our relationship with God.  Just as God has a plan for every human life, He has a plan for every nation, tribe and tongue...
