Membership Requirements
Any minister or pastor who desires to be a member of Generational Ministries
Fellowship must be sponsored by another member. Initial membership is obtained
only by the approval of the senior apostle in consultation with the senior
council. Continued membership is maintained only with the approval of the senior
council.
In addition, membership requires:
- A commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of human life and
activity and a lifestyle that reflects the Biblical standards required of
Christian leaders.
- A commitment to sound Biblical teaching and the tenets set forth in the
Statement of Faith.
- A commitment to Christian unity with other believers, streams or movements
within the Body of Christ.
- A commitment to Apostolic leadership.
Members will acknowledge a senior apostle who will provide leadership,
direction, and government for the network. The lead apostle will work with an
apostolic council of mature, committed leaders ministering together in the
fivefold ministry gifting of Ephesians 4:11. The function of government is
accomplished largely through the partnership of prayer, discussion, planning and
visionary leadership.
Generational Ministries Fellowship will endeavor to provide its members and
churches with opportunities to receive apostolic input, care and ministry.
- A commitment to covenant relationships.
Generational Ministries Fellowship seeks to be a relationship-based fellowship,
not an organization, providing a format for increasing friendship,
accountability and interchange between the members. True friendship is the basis
for genuine accountability and co-laboring.
To facilitate these things, all members are asked to attend the meetings,
functions and conferences. It is recognized that from time to time there will be
extenuating circumstances. Members whose circumstances prevent attendance will
communicate with the senior apostle prior to any missed events.
Generational Ministries Fellowship also encourages the sharing of ministry
giftings and resources between its members. It is always our desire to see
relationships grow through spending time in each other's churches ministering
and imparting those gifts that are unique to each member.
- A commitment to corporate mission.
- A commitment to financial responsibility.
The senior leaders who belong to Generational Ministries Fellowship will be
expected to support this fellowship financially. Those who are already tithing
into the ministry of another member of this fellowship shall be exempt (i.e.,
associate pastors).
Those senior ministry leaders who are tithing into the ministry of another
member of this fellowship shall also be expected to support Generational
Ministries Fellowship.
Your financial commitment to Generational Ministries Fellowship may be made in
several different ways:
- Senior pastors may tithe or give a portion of their tithe to Generational
Ministries Fellowship.
- Your church or ministry may designate a portion or percentage of
its budget to be given to Generational Ministries Fellowship.
- Other suitable financial arrangements may be discussed with the senior
council.
- Any accepted member will receive confirmation by mail.
